In January 2000, a group of three investment professionals and two administrative personnel with $100,000,000 under management split off from Gilder, Gagnon, Howe & Co. and formed Gagnon Securities LLC, a registered broker-dealer and investment advisor.  The team had a stated goal of creating
a unique environment where group participation and thinking would be a foundation for in-depth research that could yield outsized investment
returns for clients.

Today, Gagnon Securities manages in excess of $500,000,000, has ten investment professionals, one trader, an administrative staff of seven and several part-time assistants.  This growth was mainly achieved through
capital appreciation.
